My name is Matt Carroll, and I am a resident of our beloved Garden District living here with my wife, Lizz and two daughters, June & Rowan. There is a unique, underutilized park on the corner of Camp St. and Pleasant St. that could be so much more for our community. I have been in contact with NORD, and they are in full support of our neighborhood taking over the park to turn it into a special space for us all. The vision is to maintain the beauty and green of the park - while tastefully improving the space for all - the children of the Garden District, Pet Owners, and general park users alike by creating peaceful spaces to enjoy a picnic or just to relax and socialize.
I want to gauge interest from the community on putting a playscape and dog park in this space — funded by the community, small business & corporate supporters. We would love to hear from you! Completing the form here will help us take the next step towards this transformation.
